Headed out the door under misty conditions, turned up one of my new favorite roads, after the first step of the climb I got distracted by a little road off to the right. It shortly improved to a jeep road, I'm thinking I have the wrong tool for the job. The next further improvement was to a single track, I definitely had the wrong tool for the job. Then it disappeared to nothing. I was in one of "those" moods, looked at my bike, no reverse, so it was hike-a-bike for a while. I eventually popped out on a fire road, followed my nose, and back to familiar turf. It's great to ride somewhere new without a map, just GO!

It was nice and kinda sunny yesterday morning. I rolled down the driveway just in time for the wind and rain.

Went home for Thanksgiving and had a great time visiting with family and friends. While I was there, I managed to sneak in a solo 62 mile ride on the Palatka to Lake Butler Trail. I'm always impressed by the super nice rail-to-trail project that is in rural area, and I had this basically to myself this past Saturday morning.

Unfortunately, part of the trail has been underwater since Hurricane Irma came through and I snapped a picture of the flooding.

Highway 39

After an obnoxiously hot Thanksgiving things cooled off a bit and it was a beautiful day to ride in the San Gabriel mountains.
