I've been listening to Sam Chatmon's "Mississippi Sheik" album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FooYWuLw66M.

Zappa plays Zappa.

And...talk about a "guitar battle" starting at around 12:30....wow.

The names on that stage....just incredible talent.

Your version reminded me of Dread Zepplin's version of Train Kept ah-rollin. I dig it and it's stuck in my head now...

Oh, man. I've gotten to see ZPZ like a dozen times by this point. Amazing. I saw them and Return to Forever in like 2011 or 2012 and that concert was just crazy so much music was played. My aunt is huge Zappa fan and before he passed away (weirdly on my 1st birthday) must have seen him like 50 times at least. She always would try to go to his Halloween shows.

I saw a ZPZ in Baltimore where a commemorative bust of FZ was opened
It was cool the entire Zappa family was there the mayor of Baltimore revealed the statue bust
Still there in front of pratt library
Oh yeah and the reason it's in front of a library

Big honkin' like!

I noticed Jeff Beck's big honkin' platform shoes, too.

I'll raise you some funk. Back when rock and roll was raw. Dig the tape on Mark's guitar.

I start groovin' it at about the 3:00 mark, then again at 5:30 when they pick it up, and again at 6:30.

Truth be told I much prefer the version on their Grand Funk Live is better, but there's no video of that, to the best of my knowledge. This looks like a semi-studio/mini-club session.
