What's in the Workstand ? ?

Not worth before photos, maybe I'll post when done. Decided to finally clean up my wife's Univega Gran Premio that she bought new in 1981.

Bought new cables, housing, hoods, and a chain, deep clean then rebuild and add some lightly used rubber. Headset and BB still feel pretty smooth so not bothering (decision made easier by lack of tools), waffling on whether to repack hubs.

Not totally happy with how I've got the Mini Moto set up, but hoping I can tweak it. Ready for a shakedown ride (after I grab some new rim tape today, oops), before finishing off the bar tape.

May as well repack the hubs.

Doesn't take all that long

The winter bike is still in the stand. Still! Going to go to the garage and put some gears and hydro brake stuff on it and ride it till the supply chain kerfuffle sorts itself out and I can get some Paul's TA/disc/SS hubs from them.

My new Trek 520 is currently in the stand while all the parts come in and I have the time to install. For some reason the thread on a fork fender eyelet is bung and needs to be tapped. Still need to put the rear rack and fenders on. I sorely want a dynamo wheel set but will wait until I know this is a keeper before ripping off that check.

I went with the workhorse bar end shifters, r8000 otherwise. 44/34 and 11-32 out back. Can’t wait to ride it. Tire options are the 28 Rubino pro, 35 g one all around and 35 Continental studless winter wonders.

old chain from the TIME gets cleaned, lubed and used here...since its a singlespeed chain stretch isn't a major concern.

Still need to paint that rear fender and replace the broken front fender

That Ritchey Classic stuff is definitely my favorite modern silver stuff. The finish is beautiful and the seatpost, stem and bars all have great shapes

After missing out on an amazing looking bike on eBay for the wife, and striking out with a wtb (not to her aesthetics), I decided to just upgrade her bike from 9 to 10 speed and shorten her stem for a better fit. She seems to like it so far!
