An absolutely superb jazz performance from Kurt Elling. The entire concert is worth a full listen. Grab a glass of your favorite whatever, and enjoy an incredible concert.

Well, Jan 02 and I thought it was a great day to get restarted on my running thang . It classic nihilist fashion, I decided to start on an utterly grim, grey day with the streets flooding with rainwater - ya gotta hate the PNW on days like this .
To set the tone, I had our 10 month old pup running with me while I played “My War” by Black Flag from start to finish. There’s nothing like “Nothing Left I side” to soften the effects of seasonal affective disorder Sorry about the rotated photos... Last edited by d_douglas; 01-03-2021 at 01:54 AM. |

Age of Consent - New Order
Such a great guitar line and wonderful lyrics. I've been playing music through my JBL speaker on rides so I can keep the buds out of my ears and whenever that line plucks through the airwaves I just love it. |

Just upgraded my stereo with a new amplifier, (Audiolab 6000A Play.) Its a very nice improvement and now I can stream hi-res music from streaming services. I'm in day 2 of a 4 month trial with Tidal. I'm really enjoying the variety of music available. Right now I''m sort of stuck on a jazz singer, Tierney Sutton. Check out her albums, After Blue, covers of Joni Mitchell tunes and Dancing in the Dark, where she covers Sinatra standards. Also really enjoying Herbie Hancock's 2008 Grammy album of the year, River: the Joni Letters.

Beck's "Loser" came on which spurred a conversation about early MTV back when they actually played music. This led to one of the first videos that made the rounds which is now stuck in my head...
