And...

Cicli forced me to sign a contract promising that I will line up the label with the valve hole before he would sell it to me.

I don't mind so much the contract, but mounting them on the pacenti....whew....it's like

If those are tubeless, start opposite the valve and work it around towards the valve.

Keeps the beads in the bottom of the rim, giving you less need for gorilla hands

^ this...put the valve stem at 6:00 on the floor. start at 12:00 on the top, beads in the center/bottom of the rim. work both hands on each side basically pulling the tire into the center and towards the floor. When you get near the bottom there shouldn't be much left, and some soapy water can ease any remaining bead to slide over the rim.

I broke three levers and spent half an hour trying to wrestle a massive 26x2.4 Conti mtb tire on a rim - tried what I just typed and it went on one try

Thanks pals. I have used all of the suggestions, it's still a bear. When I got really close towards the end of the bead and saw what's still hanging outside, I was certain that it will never fit on those rims. But this...this thing here called the QuikStik, it yanked the last bit in. Without breaking. Impressive. BTW. Those SOMA steel core levers...they are junk. Broke like three of them.

Colnago Master Olympic

Master Olympic frameset that I picked up recently. Pretty nice shape and trying to validate the paint. Supposedly Mapei team at one point. Kind of cool that it was a team bike with the name and number holder. Also had some provenance with the original books showing the delivery etc. Probably a tad on the small size for me, but we shall see.

Did you end up getting the new Z-rollers? I have seen pictures but no real information.
