She started to get my attention a few years ago. I think she comes around our way once in a while, in non-pandemic years. I haven't seen her. Yet.

I've been having a great time listening to this podcast: The 500 with Josh Adam Meyers
Typically I listen to a podcast with a guest I know, or an album I know, and then spend a week or so with the album. I just picked a couple at random recently and found some pretty good stuff. |

Danny Gatton - '88 Elmira St'.
Mind boggling taste, tone, and technique from one of the best guitarists you will ever hear in this life. He is now deceased, btw...

But I've seen another local legend, Bill Kirchen, aka The King of Dieselbilly. He's probably most famous as the guitar player for Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen (awesome name for a band), notably on Hot Rod Lincoln, with his "Telesaurus". The extended live version is a sure fire rock and roll classic, honoring the pantheon. It's crazy how he can so accurately reproduce them, not to mention sound effects. Johnny Cash Roy Orbison Johnny Rivers Bob Wills Earl Scruggs - banjo! Bo Diddley Chuck Berry Elmore James Muddy Waters Link Wray BB King Albert King Ben E. King Carol King Billie Jean King Don King Wait, what?!?!? Elvis Presley Cream Deep Purple Rolling Stones Beatles Sex Pistols Jimi Hendrix ... and many more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxjvlB26Rgw
