The weather here today was perfect. I luckily had the day off so I got a good D2r2 training ride in. 79.5 miles with 8300 feet of climbing. Time for a beer.

Just painful. It's steep but the pain is enhanced by the altitude. Both Deer Creek and the final pitch up Mt. Gleason feel just as hard to me.

I consider Crystal Lake just a pausing point on the way to Dawson's Saddle. Just make sure you have a couple of tubes — can't recall ever descending the closed part of 39 without flatting.

Went for a 25 mile. It hit 106.

On my way back I got caught in a beautiful but windy rain storm.

Cooled down to 75.

It was a terrific ride

Nice 30 miles with the wife. I mostly ride alone but would way rather ride with the wife. Fun.
