Your most recent cycling related purchase

Wasn’t in the market and really don’t need one, BUT a random discussion with a colleague at work resulted in me swapping a set of wheels for this little beauty... let’s hope it fits on the Pegoretti otherwise it’ll be for sale on the forum shortly..

Still not convinced I need a powermeter.... 🤷

Not my latest purchase, that would be a fork for this that Fedex decided to send hitch-hiking around the US.

But, it counts because I've finally got it mostly assembled and ridden a bit. This is one of the Morewoods that were being blown out over in the classified section. I feel very lucky to have gotten this fine a frame for that price.

This bike speaks to me. Mostly, it says "quit pussy-footing, I couldo' railed that!"

My cell phone pics kinda suck.

Today the Cervelo Rca arrived. I opened the box but couldn't be bothered to unwrap it. It has a THM Clavicula crank, AX Lightness 4200 Ergo bar, AX Lightness stem.

"Cycling related purchase' apply to something non-bike I bought and now can't afford any bike stuff?

Starts with a 'G', rhymes with 'clock'...other one starts with an 'R', rhymes with Uber..like bikes, it's a disease, a fever..

OP
Where do you use your new toys? Are you a member of Boulder's very unpolitically correct club with the multi-year waitlist?

Not sure what that is but go to an outdoor range on national forest land up by Bailey CO..also some forest service land up by Grand Lake. Wished Lefthand canyon would reopen but locals didn’t like all the trash left, didn’t mind noise.

The sizing is very small!!!! I'm a medium in MAAP jersey, but had to size up to an XL in PNS! Talk about making one feel a bit fat!

I'm still a large across the board in bib shorts though. The shorts/chamois is pretty dang good. About a month ago, I drove from Portland OR up to Seattle WA just to try the stuff on. Metier cycles in Seattle is the the closest retailer that carries the stuff. Made a fun day out of it with the family, but was so glad that I tried the stuff on instead of just ordering online. They had a hot bike there and told me to try the stuff on and ride their stationary (Which happened to have the same saddle I use) for 5 minutes and test it out. From what I could tell, the chamois was very impressive. The Quality is VERY high and looks to be pretty durable. I LOVE my MAAP gear, but I have not liked any of the designs they have released in the last 2 years. So I started to look for other options. I have had the opportunity to try out a European brand called Marcello Bergamo and it had been very impressive. I bought a ton of it and recently sold off a couple pieces after realizing just how much I bought. After deciding I was going to pull the trigger on the PNS, I sold off 3 Marcello bergamo kits and 2 MAAP kits to help make room as well as give me some income to buy this PNS line. Its all relative to other top shelf brands, but good lord some of the PNS items are wicked expensive!!! Hoping it will end up being worth while

Hope you made it across the street from Metier to Frankie and Jo's... best ice cream I've ever had. Check it out next time you're in town.

In the last 24 hours, I picked up a new Raleigh RX2.0 off eBay and some 28c road tires to convert my older cx bike into a winter roadie.

I didn't! I'll have to check it out next visit. The parking for the shop is among the worst I've seen haha! Had to circle the block 5 or 6 times just to find a spot!

Just ordered a Salsa Blackborow.

Now to start with bag and light selection.

Should be a blast at the cabin.
