My fat bike was not the ideal bike for that climb, but I do always smile when riding it. (Perhaps a reason to get a real gravel bike.) I didn't make it all the way to the top. The road was clear of snow at about 7500 feet in elevation. I plan to return in September after the mosquitos have left.

Thanks, she's a great ride. I'm taking another crack at it this weekend. Fingers crossed it'll be more clear, but it's looking like the opposite for conditions.

The road up our local canyon has been closed because of flooding from unusually high spring runoff. Today it finally reopened, and I got to climb again.

Snapped some photos of the water (incredibly high). It's hard to communicate what these pictures are showing. This 'river' is typically a smallish creek (crick, if you're from the right part of the state), but you can see what it's doing now.

Fast and Hot ride today. finally have my legs back after 10 days of a lingering hamstring thing. felt good to hammer, and im glad, because le Bleu just downloaded her software updates last night. Now with record 11 instead of record 10, Bora 35s, and a 110mm +-17d stem to match the level TT. really good update, functionality is enhanced, and better overall aesthetics.
