I saw a few pronghorn but that was about it.
Love that ride. I typically climb up from the south and come out the north end although I've gone the other way too. Fat bike seems painful for that climb - actually anything is painful for that climb! Is the road open at the top? Can you get to the summit? Such a beautiful area.

My fat bike was not the ideal bike for that climb, but I do always smile when riding it. (Perhaps a reason to get a real gravel bike.) I didn't make it all the way to the top. The road was clear of snow at about 7500 feet in elevation. I plan to return in September after the mosquitos have left.

Thanks, she's a great ride. I'm taking another crack at it this weekend. Fingers crossed it'll be more clear, but it's looking like the opposite for conditions.

Took the Ahearne for a spin around the lake.

Haven't ridden this bike in a while.

The road up our local canyon has been closed because of flooding from unusually high spring runoff. Today it finally reopened, and I got to climb again.

Snapped some photos of the water (incredibly high). It's hard to communicate what these pictures are showing. This 'river' is typically a smallish creek (crick, if you're from the right part of the state), but you can see what it's doing now.

Also, a friendly gopher snake on the trail:

Biked around CSU San Bernardino for the first time. 25mm tires on gravel. Lesson learned: I need a cyclocross bike

Fast and Hot ride today. finally have my legs back after 10 days of a lingering hamstring thing. felt good to hammer, and im glad, because le Bleu just downloaded her software updates last night. Now with record 11 instead of record 10, Bora 35s, and a 110mm +-17d stem to match the level TT. really good update, functionality is enhanced, and better overall aesthetics.

And why stop at the garage when you can go the extra hundred yards to cool down?

My wife snapped this one of me on the Stelvio this trip. Don't remember what, or if, I was thinking at this point.
