I forgot how much I like that climb - the whole ride actually - although getting back over the West Hills was quite the sting in the tail as they say..

Whitcomb Summit, Rt. 2, Florida, MA. That is Northfield Mountain in the distance. It was a great ride, 101 miles, 6800+ feet.

Something Different

Please forgive me. I'm an engineer, so I find humor in things you might not.

My ride today was a commute in to work. So now I'm at work and I looked at my bike sitting in my office. I was amused by the juxtaposition, and I hope you find it amusing, too.

Edit: I've just been browsing through all the other photos you all post and this clearly is an outlier. That's okay. A scrawled-upon whiteboard can't compare to snow-capped peaks, so...

... carry on.

Last Saturday we visited Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and camped near Frenchglen, Oregon. I took the opportunity to ride part of the Steens Mountain Road on my fat bike. The area is incredibly remote. The road is closed to cars right now, and the gravel is deep in many sections. 5-10 mph up the climb, and 18-20 mph back to the campsite. I saw a few pronghorn but that was about it.

Photos from your rides.

On the weekend, not nearly as far up the Highwood Pass as I'd have liked to have been. Gourgeous weather though.
