The Flood - Dehd

Three piece band with vocal arrangements that make you weak and guitar and bass lines that make you feel good.

Edgar Winter

I listened to the Focus track mentioned a few posts back. I actually listened to it about 100 times. Incredible musicians. It made me remember The Edgar Winter Group and Frankenstein. Once again, these guys are so talented and the groove they lay down in this live performance is amazing.

I've never been much of a Led Zeppelin fan, but I've come to appreciate some of Robert Plant's post-Led work, in other genres and with other musicians.

I've also become a Patti Griffin fan since seeing her live about a year ago.

From what I've read she was a backup singer in his band on a tour a few years ago, and for a while, they were a couple.

Here they are, together.

I was never a raging Led Zep fan (more Floyd, Yes, Who, and older Blues) but I do like a good chunk of their music. I didn't mind some of Plant's post LZ work and some of his duets have been pretty interesting. I never in a million years would have thought I would see him paired up with Alison Krauss...but hey, it works.

I know the area, I'm pretty sure I've seen him, but can't place the venue, even with the Cathead sign in the background. It's not the Cathead. Maybe Shackup or Ground Zero.

Waterboys "Strange Boat"

My favorite song from a really underappreciated band.
