This has been my favorite as of late, clearance for a measured 30mm tire, light but stiff in the right ways, just and all around joy.

When I was out in Colorado a couple weeks ago I rented a Trek Emonda SL7. The first road bike I ever road that had disk brakes and electronic shifting. When I clicked the shift button it shifted gears and when I pulled the brake lever it slowed the bike down and I was thinking to my self, gee, that's just like my Cannondale and my Moots back home.

The Emonda was a really nice ride though I will say that, cornered like it was on rails and nice and stable. I guess it should be for a $6k dollar bike.

I love this thread. I love acknowledging the fact that Rim Brake Perfection is plural, not singular. In that spirit, I offer two images of my own bikes:

They are the same, they are different. Each is perfect for me in different ways.

(And I need to add--the seat cluster on that AR is remarkable--I'd love to see a closer photo of that work.)

If that fork had a fade up to the headtube like the chain stays I'd probably cry.

Yeah, I can't stop looking at that one...

Built in 2000. I am going to put this here, just because it was first custom Geom, ridden 13 years as #1, then revamped into super fun SS jaunter. 10 years ago I used to take it on club rides with geared bikes/riders. The result was knowing I hadda stay on the front or die, I'd sleep 15 hours that night after the HRM fest... @ 66 I'd not even try it anymore...
