Just got a great deal on a XT clutch derailleur and matching shifters (used), and picked up a 10sp cassette (with a 36t cog) and chain cheap. $100 to move to modern 10sp single ring mountainness.

And my first time having "nice" stuff on the mountain bike, but cheap enough that thrashing it won't make me blink.

I'm rebuilding an old Fat Chance, so I'm looking for parts. Just picked up a crank and RD at Comp Cyclist for a good price. Still looking for other stuff, Jenson is looking good.

I recently picked up a set of Reynolds carbon hoops from a forumite. Hopefully I'll get some time this weekend to try them out. I also got some new Cars R Coffin branded Purist bottles. These bottles are great - very easy to squeeze and they output a good volume of liquid. My previous bottles were these very stiff bpa free bottles. While I liked that they were bpa free and didnt impart a plastic taste, they were very difficult to squeeze. The Cars R Coffin colors match the colors on the Kirk and provide a bit of punk.

I recently bought a Hampsten cross frame with Record group and Zipp 404 tubulars from the forum and I am VERY excited to take deliver, build it up and race it before the end of cross season. It will be my first set of tubulars and my first set of carbon wheels....now to see if they really will change my life (I've been riding clinchers for the most part) or if you are all just drinking the kool-aid!

thanks Peter and Mike,well on my way now 7.5 weeks into this but not first one either.
at least now i have a matching set,much like my sadly ground down Record shifters and my shoulders are about level for the first time in 15 years.

Got a sweet color Giro Atmos and the 2014 105 5700C carbon composite pedals
