If your goal is to be seen, you drive faster, so that you encounter more people.

that wouldn't make sense on our street--very small residential area, going fast in an EV just means fewer will hear you or chance to and look up from whatever they are doing, higher chance they will see you if you roll at 15mph.

Case in point, I was in the garage, and had just turned toward the street. I immediately stepped out on the driveway to watch him go up the street. If he'd gone by at 40mph, I'd have not even seen him.

saw one today for the first time while on a ride, man it is uglier in person than the videos show.

besides that, i do get a chuckle watching youtube videos that show it just walking from big buck supercars. very, very impressive launch and all the way thru the quarter mile.

saw a video on youtube about how it is manufactured, and that in & of itself is fascinating. serious engineering and design as well as manufacturing process. pretty darned amazing, and all made stateside.

Does Elon offer a "Target Practice Paint or Power Coat" finish option?

Looks to me more like an infomercial for a wallet that wouldn't last more than 2 seconds in my pocket.

I have seen so many lately and they are just terrible. It is as if Elon Musk designed a truck. Imagine how bad that would be...

Looks like the Gen2, smoother-looking, painted "Cybertruck" I predicted is already making appearances...

...only it's from Dongfeng instead of Tesla.

Gotta say I think that Tesla did the hard work of "breaking the ice", for future acceptance of Prius-looking trucks.
Sadly though, Dongfeng has somewhat reverted to a more truck-like, taller front end.

I actually like EVs. But if I wanted a badass pickup, I would get a 1980 F350 4x4 and put a supercharged big block in it. For the money of a Cyber Truck, I could get a John Kaase Boss 429 punched out to 534.

A parent of a classmate of my daughter has one. I was hoping when we both chaperoned a field trip last week she would offer me a ride in it but no dice. It does look pretty boss to me.

I am not sure if it was mentioned in this thread but there is also a kids version for $1500 on teslas site. Sold out but plenty on FBM. I am considering it for my daughter’s b day.

I’ve seen so many around recently. I’d literally rather drive one of these around and pocket the $98k.
