Reviving an old thread, this seems to be the longest Bora WTO threat on the forum.
So, I just removed the "warning - you may die for a range of different reasons" sticker from the side of my Bora WTO 45s. What's the best chemical to clean off the residue? I have Silca Biodegreaser, eucalyptus oil and isopropyl alcohol at home. The eucalyptus oil and isopropyl may be too harsh? Could they damage the <<amazing>> gloss finish? Thanks all! These are the best wheels I have ever ridden (to be fair I do not have a huge range to compare with) |

I use goo-gone for stuff like that. Citrus based, and pretty gentle of stuff. Let it sit for a minute or two and soak into the glue, then gently rub off.

This thread coming up again has reignited my interest in some 60s. Been thinking about them for a few years, but didn’t have the confidence to order a pair directly from a European retailer. I know the answer is that I should probably pick up a pair. Would match my new Super Record mechanical nicely. Looks like the best prices for the rim brake versions are around $2k. May wait and see if Black Friday has anything to offer.

I am finding difficult to read any reviews on the rim brake 60s. |

"Reviews for the Campagnolo Bora WTO 60 rim brake wheels generally praise their excellent aerodynamic performance, good handling even at high rim depths, and strong braking capabilities thanks to the AC3 brake track, but note that they come with a premium price tag; reviewers often consider them a top-tier race wheelset with a well-established reputation for quality and performance, particularly when it comes to speed and stability in windy conditions." I just ordered some Bora WTO 45s. Apparently those wheels my be the greatest ever invented. J/K. I have some 33s so I hope I like the 45s. I know I love the way they look and don't mean to detract from BTLOS owners but my inner angst needs some matchy matchy with 12 speed Record bits. |
