Mavic SSC brake pad replacement?

I stuck these old brakes* on one of my nice bicycles, and they work as well as I remember; very powerful for our crummy fall weather. I can't remember what pads they take though, I think they were the same as Dura ace back when I got them circa 2004 maybe.. Anyone still running these? I wonder of my Campy Red carbon pads (shimano) would work. with my new new Boras.

Yes. The holders take Shimano style pads.

I am using them on my Peg. Imo the most elegant dual pivot design and the smoothest spring integration ever. No compaints at all about the stopping power either. I run dura ace cfk pads which work well with the slightly rough surface of my rims.
The original shoes should be used and they need those narrow washers because of the recess on the outside of the arm.

They were certainly considered state of the art caliper rim brakes 10-15 yrs ago when rim brakes were at their peak. Owned a set back then and loved ‘em.

But if memory serves (and it frequently doesn’t ) I recall clearance issues as wider tires became popular.

These calipers were designed to work with Campagnolo levers, they don't have the cable release Shimano calipers have. The only clearance problems I have is installing or removing wider tires.

Regarding clearance issues, that's what MAFAC RAID (and René Herse, and Grand Bois Chouette) center pulls are for.

I was frustrated by Campagnolo moving the quick release from the caliper to the lever. I guess I can understand why (sorta), but it certainly limited the levers you could use with Monoplaner brakes (and apparently these Mavic SSCs).
