shiny Chorus bits
I miss the ubiquity of shiny bike parts.
I've been thinking that since Campy put so much alloy back into their Chorus 12 group, there's an opportunity. Give me a decent used groupset, a Dremel, and a long weekend. I think I can make this happen. Have you seen anyone try it yet? I figure Ben's Cycles would be in the best position to take on such a project, but they do vintage stuff almost exclusively.

polished Centaur 10 Speed (and other bits)
https://forums.thepaceline.net/showt...est+frameworks
I stripped the anodization from a new Campy 10 speed groupset and polished it along with White Industries hubs, Kinlin rims, a Velo Orange seat pin, headset and Cinelli stem and bars. There is a 'how to' thread here somewhere. Aluminum is soft so its easily polished with Mother's Mag Wheel polish or similar. Ignore what folks will tell you about it not staying mirror bright. If it gets a bit dull, some Simichrome or similar polish will bring it back in a few minutes. https://forums.thepaceline.net/showt...est+frameworks |
