Woof!
I've owned that bike for fifteen to twenty years now. It's still largely in the same configuration, although I've changed wheels and tires.

I worked really hard to try to figure out who the bike was originally built for. It's got no serial number so our buddy Laura @ Colnago wasn't able to help.

There's been maybe a dozen or so steel lugged Colnago 'cross bikes built since the first one in the mid 1970s.

Wen I got it, it had a Shimano drivetrain, a steel unicrown fork and a chainstay protector that said "ElevenSeven."

It is a tight little bike, fits me perfectly. Never leaving the stable.

That reminds me. I should shake the dust off it and take it out for a ride!

It's a Nuovo Record, and though you can't see it in the pics it has a B pantograph on the front.

This ‘steelie’ also rocks… and was very competitive (Nationals) in 2018.

The Zanc and the Sachs are classic cx; perfect race bikes of the vintage.

In the world of marginal gains, I'd say that a modern bike is a better tool for racing cx. Though I'd take a classic Zanc or Sachs all day long because they have so much mojo, and that's what matters to me these days.

This thread would not have been complete without Geekhouse!

Also the aarn ring on that stinner is perfect. Although you are DQ'ed for a tire size violation =D

Speaking of aarn rings... sort of surprised I'm the one contributing serotta content here. but this is a fav:

prolly had 40c nanos installed in that muddy pic. im more annoyed the aarn chainring isnt designed for those hidden bolt cranks and the cutouts dont lineup how they are supposed to.
