Marketing speak misnomer, at least from what I can tell. It's really just a rim that is fluted out a bit for more material to reduce pinch flatting...on tubeless.

Too bad they don't show any data indicating that the "double hooked" is any better than the alternatives when it comes to preventing pinch flats, something that would be relatively simple to show in a lab test.
