This makes sense to me. I have a Big Dummy and a Raleigh 20 folder, both of which have tubes, because they are ridden infrequently. The two all road bikes (650B, 38 or 42) and the MTB are run tubeless and for those bikes it's totally worth it. Below 38mm I run tubes so far, no bikes with pressures over 40 psi have tubeless set-ups.

Also, TPU tubes are pretty swell so you're really only sacrificing the puncture sealing advantage of tubeless and that is known to not be as effective with the higher pressure needed for narrow tires.
