Do I understand this correctly that they not only record video, but let the user read text messages, get directions, talk to AI, listen to music, etc.? So if a car driver were wearing these, they could sidestep all the laws about operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a distracting screen.
Gee, what innovation. I can't wait. |

A buddy of mine uses them and likes them a lot, especially mountain biking as an alternative to a GoPro. I ordered a pair based on his experience... I do a lot of riding behind my kids and I thought it would be great for catching their moments on film.

They’re cheap because Meta makes their money off of advertising, not selling hardware. These are just another loss leader for their data collection business.

My bet is that there will be a wrap-around cycling variant made by some company soon. It seems like a no-brainer for a company like Oakley for instance.

Anyone ever read Transmetropolitan? These would be right up Spider Jerusalem's alley.
