"Most DD hills ridden in a day: 66 times up/down Canton Ave. in 2 hours in a 42x24 {1.75} gear in 1985 by Danny Chew."

How are points allocated? I assume that if you can't get up a hill without dismounting, you get 0. But what's the difference between 10, 9, 8, etc.?

Photo of Canton Ave below.

I'd love to do this, but I have watched some youtube videos and I am not sure I'd make it up some of those climbs.

Points are for the fast group, based on your placing racing up the hills 10 for first down to 1 for 10th, everyone else is just trying to get up to be an official finisher.

Danny Chew's story is both gut wrenching and awe inspiring.

I saw a group of 20-30 riders this morning heading up Center Avenue…practice run.

Looks like it is a no this year.

Really wanted to do it as I have had a really good year of riding after last year's health scare and associated inability to function for most of the year. My wife is all in for me to do it next year.

Its changed a little due to road closures but yeah. That is Canton Ave, honestly it gets a lot of talk but I would say physically it’s the easiest hill, the road is rough cobbles though so you really have to be mindful about your line as you can’t make much correction once you’ve started.

No, it’s been done before. If anything it’s probably even harder.
