Eric Karros was doing the color commentary on the broadcast last night, and after Ohtani hit #54 Karros said: "OK, I get it, he may be the best ever to play the game. But how do you throw that guy a 3-2 fastball down the middle with first base open?" That pitch was, indeed, a not very spicy meatball.

I think with those 24 hits he gained more than 30 percentage points on Arraez, who may very well sit out the next two games to secure the batting title given that the Pads have clinched the first wild card spot. Ted Williams would not approve.

I was clicking around on Ebay today looking for a Campagnolo part and saw an ad for Ohtani's homerun ball for over $1,000,000. Could not find that now, but did find this.
