Fat Tire Flyer re-release event

On November 9 at 5:00 p.m., the Marin Museum of Bicycling and the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame will host the re-release of Fat Tire Flyer: Repack and the Birth of Mountain Biking, which has been out of print since the original publishing company changed hands.

I recently reprinted my book at my own expense in the original large format. It is the definitive work on the origin of the sport of mountain biking, compiled by the people who took part in these events. On hand to sign copies will be me of course, museum curator Joe Breeze, and the Queen of Klunking, Wende Cragg, whose photos figure prominently in the book.

In addition to a talk from the author there will be Q&A, as well as an opportunity to study the definitive collection of bicycles, showing the evolution of mountain biking described in the book.

The museum is located at 1966 Sir Francis Drake in Fairfax.
