Santa Barbara Bike Rentals and/or other recs?

My wife and I are going to be spending a couple of days in Santa Barbara next week and it looks like a fun place to explore on bike. Any shops in the area folks recommend? My wife is a casual cyclist, so not looking for superbikes, just something decent to tool around on. Any other ideas for cool places to check out, different things to do (wineries, parks, activities etc) would be appreciated!

Just prior to COVID, visited Santa Barbara. If I had unlimited wealth, would move there tomorrow. I don’t have a specific recommendation for shops but my girl friend did book a bicycle city tour which was fun. Standard hybrid bike for me, e-bike for her. There are many really good restaurants. Whale watching! Do it. If you are into wine, travel north of Santa Barbara a short distance. Really good stuff to be found. We are tempted to go back at the end of February.

Yeah, I was also going to suggest FasTrack but checked their site to discover that they don't rent. Steve's right that he'll almost certainly offer the best recommendation.

if you want to rent bikes and do the beach bike path, that's fun. ride up state street also.
cal coast adventures is right there and you can do a wine tasting ride.
I have been spending time in SB and make sure to get tacos! lilly's or so many other great places.
i like validation brewing but that's me.

My good friend Mike rents nice Priority townie hybrids, he's down in the funk zone: https://biketoursofsb.com/ He's also a super nice guy and a great rider, and gives an excellent custom tour if that's your thing.

Dave Lettieri's FasTrack Bikes is a road-only shop. No rentals. Dave and Luke are the great guys who run this small store.

As others said- if you're into wine, food, and drinking, do the Funk Zone.

Beach path to Montecito Biltmore is a fun, short ride. Or continue down through Summerland and Carpinteria.

Great coffee at Handlebar, Dune, and Renaud's.

Excellent mexican food at a variety of locations and budgets. Mony's, Lilly's, Super-Rica, Los Agaves, Los Arroyos, Super Cuca's, Santo Mezcal.

Getting out on the water is fun. Either rent kayaks, or book a spot on a tour boat like Double Dolphin or Landshark, or a whale watching boat.

Some incredible sushi spots. Some are crazy expensive omakase, but you'll never find uni more fresh than SB.

Picnic at Mission Rose Garden.

Walk at Douglas Preserve, or walk Mesa Lane (Thousand Steps) to Hendry's beach and Boat House for happy hour (tides permitting).

Tues/Sat Farmer's market.

Cold Springs Tavern is a fun Sunday afternoon, with good music and the best tri tip sammies ever.
