But at least Maguire is no longer a starting CB on that squad. They also need a RB replacement (although 3 ATB with Stones being one of the three might not be a bad idea).

The following might be a decent set-up.

-----------------Pickford-------------
Branthwaite---Stones---Guehi---
Saka/TAA-----Rice-----Mainoo-----Shaw
----Parmer-----Watkins-----Gordon

As much as I like TAA, he just doesn't seem to be switched on enough for a midfielder. Even Saka has a bit more awareness in comparison.
Any team that has Gordon is one I will root against. He has never comitted a foul in his life and anyone who gets within a foot of him causes a life shattering foul.

You are right, of course, in your assessment of Gordon. And you are too kind that you didn’t comment on Gordon’s extraordinarily punchable face.

He and Bellingham are two of England’s most prolific whine producers.
