Help me fix my trainer pedals

I bought these Look pedals on Amazon for my trainer about 2 years ago. They work fine but they make this awful clicking sound. The sound didn't start out of the box but it didn't take long. I suspect it has something to with the spring and plastic retention piece at the back but I'm not 100%. I've tried spraying some triflow on the spring but it didn't really resolve the issue completely and eventually the clicking comes back.

Anybody know how to make the clicking stop? Alternatively, if you can suggest a Look pedal that won't do this and is compatible with Look keo cleats I'd be grateful.

Gotcha. I had this happen on a pair of the same pedals. There is a plastic collar nut that secures the axle, and is installed w a fairly low torque (don't recall a specific number). It can loosen or was never terribly snug. Exchanged some emails w Look, who recommended removing the plastic collar, cleaning, applying locking compound (I used blue loctite). They said if that didn't fix it they'd replace. Never heard another click and that was a few years ago.

I do recall that those collars might be opposite thread directions from one another just like the axle threads, so probably worth confirming so you loosen when you intend to. Good luck!

How flush do the cleats sit?

Greased bolts torqued tight?
