So is this all just carping by Big Carbon shills ? Obviously Ti is now the king of gravel and all of those silly people on carbon need to get into it.
Is the Ti bike too "traditional" looking to be an acceptable winner? Is purple too radical for gravel? |

Saw him on a carbon gravel Pinarello a couple of years ago in Marin. Smoked him like he was tied to a tree. No wonder he couldn't go fast. jk

Congrats to Wertz. Well-deserved.
I laughed seeing what looked like a crit finish as the sole photo in the Cyclingnews article. It makes sense that they want to show the finish, but it's an ironic way to highlight a gravel race. As usual I don't think there's much to be gleaned from his equipment. It's a cool bike and all but he's making a living. I think his result in Unbound says just as much about the tires. |
