I'm no expert on Medici, but when I've been looking at them on eBay or Craigslist, it does seem like most of the ones I looked at had the brake pads positioned at the bottom of the slots. So that should speak to good clearances for tires.

Nice Bike. Speaking of RS (get the bolt), if/when I have to get down to one bike and hang it up, it will be difficult to choose between my 82 Pro Strada and my 2011 Richard Sachs.
