All of the above, absolutely! And I STILL upshift cresting climbs because by the time I'm at the top I have lost suppleness AND I want to psyche out my opponents!

The only thing I can add is the heavy use of Bengay or Tiger Balm, enough to make your eyes water while you ride a rotating double paceline. Oh also, Clare telling us about how he used a thin slice of veal over the chamois in his shorts because he had ridden himself raw the day before. And Joe Saling rolling his eyes back far enough to see his childhood.
