Tire levers?
I have not bought tire levers for a long time.
Over the years some have disappeared and now I am short. I have used Pedro's and they work ok but I feel they are too wide which makes it more difficult to remove the tire when sliding it along the bead. I have some really old narrow ones that I like but don't know what they are. I am wondering if ParkTl-4.2C are narrower than Pedros. These are only used on road bikes with carbon rims. |

Basic, fairly cheap, narrow and I've found to be sturdy enough.

I use the extra long extra strong model Lezyne but...
this model looks like a good one for you. The long and strong are nec for me to install and remove Conti 5000 on my carbon rims with my less than healthy hands.

Koolstop tire levers https://www.amazon.com/Kool-Stop-Bic.../dp/B000AO9T8K
Also Var tire lever. Hard to find but will help pop a tight bead over the rim on install, like a Koolstop bead jack. https://www.deporvillage.net/detacha...Kb24cUtTwc8J50 Last edited by MikeD; 09-07-2024 at 04:48 PM. |

At the risk of sounding like a shill: The Tru-Tension Tire Monkey lever is an absolute gamechanger.
I was skeptical watching their videos, but figured what the hell, especially since my wife historically has so much trouble getting tires off her rims (and even more getting them back on). Been using it for maybe 5 or 6 months...and I am never going back to the standard two or three levers! One and done. Highly recommended. Did I mention it's a "gamechanger"? Seriously. |

I ended up ordering the Schwalbe, not a big loss if they don't work out.
