They are agricultural looking, I will grant you, but they are the best floating pedals I've ever used.

Despite what many have said, the float of Time pedals is not free float. There is a re-centering force. You can certainly adjust it to the minimum of three available settings, but it is always there.
Thanks, I'll give the Time pedals a try. Keywins - I'd really like more than 6 degrees, my feet move a lot due to my hip.

Get the cleat with the extra float.
I only see one cleat? Its either 6 degrees or 0, depending on how you install it? Am I missing a different cleat model that is available?

SPD cleats offer a little rotational float, with no resistance. Ask your friends who ride with MTB style SPD cleats to show you how much they can rotate their feet and you might find it's enough. If you replace the mounting plate in the SPD shoe with a two-hole plate rather than the four-hole plate which comes with shoes, you can adjust the neutral position of the foot on the pedal.

Edit - I see they have an adapter kit for three hole.

Way freer than any Shimano float. I've only used these with 2 hole shoes. I've migrated to dura ace for road due to better ankle support, but still ride eggbeaters for mtb and gravel

I used Speedplay, LOOK, Shimano and Eggbeaters previously.

I now use TIME XPRO's and they are pretty good.

I tried a carbon/ti set of Look spd pedals for one ride and it felt like ice skating. Went back to my regular Shimano spds.

They squeak after some time, cleats wear out bit fast. But after 35 years of using them, just go back home.

Just bought pair of Xpresso's for my wife - 19.00 found second pair for spare for 10.00. She loves them

Time have somewhat updated the Xpro line recently, and these are the old model. Time is now offering 51mm and 57mm axle lengths in addition to the standard 53mm axle.

There is no functional difference with the new ones so, if the original axle length works for you, these are a good deal.
