Falz Fork v2 clearance question

Hello Brain Trust,

I'm looking for real world experience with owners of the Falz v2 fork.

From what I have seen (a photo posted by Hampsten Cycles), the Flaz v2 has clearance for 32mm tires under a short reach rim brake.

If anyone can confirm, and possibly tell me if it would work on a HED Belgium and Rene Here 32mm combination, that would be awesome!

What does your tire/rim combination actually measure?
Do you have calipers to check?

My ti Serotta Concours (bought on this site from AndySTI) has a Falz fork with 32mm Veloflex tires on Campy Bora WTO wheels. There's adequate clearance with 32mm, but 30 would be better. The brakes are DA 7800 which I've found to have better clearance (by a little) than most any other short reach brakes, except possibly eeBrakes, which are 10x the cost.

It's in the shop for a crankset change, otherwise I'd post a picture.

I took some paint off the underside crown of my Falz 2 with a 32 Corsa Pro on some wet gritty road. 30 is a safe bet I’d say, but ymmv depending on how the tire shapes up with the rim you’re using. I think modern made for TSS rim tires are more likely to be taller when paired with thinner internal width rims typical of rim brake wheels.

Adding my voice to chorus in saying that I'd be just a bit wary of 32s. 30s fit nicely, though.

30 Vittoria Corsas on HED Ardennes Black is as fat as I go on mine. Like others, 32 might fit (never tried) but seems too close for worry free riding. I prefer 28s anyway, fwiw.

Depending on your frame, you may have more difficulty fitting a 32mm tire in the rear between your chainstays.
