Of course air leaks around the bead. A well used tubeless tire will have quite a bit of sealant used up around the beads.
My tires all have some sort of sidewall markings that make it easy to see if a small part of the bead is sitting too low and not sealing on the ledge. With rims that are not made for rim tape, the answer isn't more rim tape. Let the air out and maybe apply some soapy water to the offending area, then air it up again. It might take more than 73 psi.
