I recently got some Serfas ribbon bar tape out of my LBS's discount bin... It's kinda hard to wrap since it doesn't really stretch, but I like the way it feels on the hands. Kind of feels neutral - a little cush but not too much.
I can see how some people would hate it though.

The silicone tape from fabric is really nice. Had it on one bike for a few years.

Also a fan of the silca piloti, trying cuscino for the next wrap.

I have been a Cinelli cork guy for 40 plus years. Recently tried the diamond handlebar tape from Velo Orange and really like it. It has a sticky grip that cork (fake cork now) just doesn't have. It is cheap too... I tried Lizard skins and some Fizik $40 tape and was not impressed.
