Philly LBS Recommendations for Boxing and Shipping

I'm helping a friend sell his Kirk in the classifieds. We've had some interest, but need to have the frameset boxed and shipped. Has anyone had this done at a Philly LBS? Good or bad experience? Any shops you'd recommend?

If I remember correctly you were visiting Glenside. If so, Keswick Cycle will be the closest full service shop. They were always a good shop to deal with in the past but it’s been a few years since I’ve been there.

The Philly area is pretty big. If you let me know where you or the bike is I should be able to give some suggestions.

I have a box you can use. I had a frame shipped in from the UK in it! I'm pretty sure I have a lot of the packing material as well.

I have a box as well if needed. Haven't shipped a bike from here, though.

It's a pretty simple job. Any shop ought to be able to do it for you. We charge $80 for labor and materials at our shop. Depending on where you are, expect $50 - 120.

Thanks to all for the suggestions!

Ridethecliche and I had lunch today and I grabbed a box from him. With his encouragement, I'm comfortable to package it myself.

Unfortunately, I did not buy a better fitting fairlight haha. It is a steel bike but it's solidly my commuter for the time being, though I'm hoping I can do some light road touring etc on it.

Thanks for lunch! Hope it works out! I'm sure you'll be totally fine packing it.
