what adhesive recommended for wahoo sensors?

I have a couple of cadence sensors and I could not get the case to snap off to replace the batteries without removing the sensors and wearing out the perfectly shaped oval adhesive strips wahoo provides. I am embarrassed to admit that double-sided tape does not work. What should I look for on amazon for some stronger/thicker adhesive tape? What does the paceline recommend?

you could use heat shrink or electrical tape to reattach the cadence sensor

You might try 3M trim adhesive. It's sort of an industrial-strength rubber cement used to attach auto floor carpet and stuff. It's designed to be removable (like rubber cement it peels off) and doesn't mark/dissolve/damage paint or clear.

We used to use it to mount sew-up tires. I always keep a tube around for whatever comes up around the house.

A two sided tape is the best option, sticks well, doesn't leave a permanent residue. Just clean both surfaces thoroughly before installation.

I put my wahoo cadence sensor on my shoe. Works great when you ride different bikes. I use the rubber thingie.
