Yikes! (Especially the images on that last link). I don't think it is a "Cyclist's Nodual" as I have no bump, lump, swelling, or anything like that.

I had a similar issue at one time, I was advised by an older racer to use an acne medication. I remember it worked "relatively" quick, within a week or so.

May want to discuss with pain management doctor about touch of numbing med and even perhaps a touch of cortisone to see if it will chill out. Sure few days off saddle also
