Bananaballs! My Pegoretti build with SR12(yeah yeah mechanical but mechanical is best and Campy WRL is the ugliest thing I have seen in recent memory) and Lightweights didn't get close to halfway to that max "possible" number. Between this and Bastion, I have about had enough. Luckily, we all get to vote with our wallets

Mosaic is the same as are all of the other high end boutique companies like Firefly, Baum and the list goes on. If you think that is too much then you aren't the target market.

While the 26k seems absurd it isn't even that hard to get there when the swankiest wheels are over 10k. Groupsets in the 5k-7k range. Add a top end titanium bespoke frame and that number is pretty easy to achieve.

Interesting.
I know you’re tight with the No. 22 crew. Do you know where they are shipping to? Europe? Asia?

Keep an eye on bicycle blue book. One will show up at some point. I found a Mosaic this way at about 70% off retail. Couldn’t be happier.

Asia appears to be the current market from my conversations with Scott.

Given the current bike market it just doesn’t seem expensive enough to really garner the exclusivity we at the paceline truly favor. Perhaps if there was an electric version it could really push the envelope?

I'll give them props for bringing the old font back. No serotta seems correct without it imho.

The market exists. It’s not large. Go check out the Above Category website or insta - builds regularly roll out of there north of $20k. Prova, Baum, Bastion and so on. Once you’ve got lightweight wheels and Super Record WRL and maybe a custom Busyman saddle and fully custom paint from Velocolour… I would not be surprised if they get to $30k sometimes.

These bikes aren’t for you, they are for a very select clientele. Kevin Systrom shops there.

I think the real question here is - is Serotta going to play in that league? I’ve heard rumors No. 22 isn’t doing that well, and that’s pretty much his old crew, right?

Next you guys can go find a clothing forum and complain about the $16,500 sweater on the Neiman Marcus website.

I mean these were just released with a $10.9k price tag. It isn't hard to get to $30k on a build these days.

Also... This was just released in a limited run of 24 bikes. With more than 1200 inquiries. The 24 sold out in minutes. Price tag. $30k.

It's no different than a gym membership at Ghost.
