SRAM AXS/XDR cassette - mystery creaking?

Has anyone here experienced a creaking issue with a Sram AXS cassette (XDR interface)?

I’ve been trying to figure this out for several days now. Originally I wasn’t sure where the creaking was coming from but I’ve narrowed it down to the cassette. It creaks, but not all the time. It will start making noises for a few minutes but if I shift or backpedal it will stop for a while, but then come back later. To rule out other causes of drive train creaking, I’ve lubed and properly torqued everything possible; BB, crank, pedals, chainring bolts, freehub, etc. What ultimately confirmed that it was the cassette was a matter of putting that cassette on a different wheelset used by a different bike. With the problem cassette installed on my gravel wheels/gravel bike, I get the noise. When switching back to the original cassette, no noise. So I’ve duplicated the same noise on two different bikes / 2 different wheelsets – the only constant being the Sram AXS 10-36 cassette.

Has anyone experienced this? I’ve never had an issue with cassettes causing a mystery creak…but maybe this can happen with XDR cassettes? If anyone has experienced this, were you able to fix it somehow? Maybe some penetrating oil on the pins and the rotating part that threads onto the freehub?

Check the rivets on the carrier to see if one is loose. If so, warranty.
If not, check the free hub tool splines/grease threads/torque to spec.

Thanks. I’ve already verified the freehub spline grease & torque bit I’ll check the rivets on the carrier.
