Garmin 1030 tab broken
First broke my on bike mount, then looked and one of the tabs on the Garmin found torn. Assume I need some glue on that will cover the current tabs.
Haven't done this before, can someone recommend one that works well? saw this one, but no idea where screws will go in unless I tap them into old mount https://www.amazon.com/Thinvik-Compu...s%2C114&sr=8-3 |

I had the same issue on a Garmin 500 and the same solution. You do have to tap the screws into the backside of the computer. It worked and prolonged the life span of the computer, though it made it sit up a little higher.

I used the "dog ears" aluminum bolt on when my tab broke after a crash. It worked well for me. https://www.dogearsgps.com/

You used to be able to just buy the back case for the Edge 500, is that not a thing with what 1030?

They started putting electrical contacts on the back of x30 devices. So wiring is involved. I always wanted one of their external power packs that uses the contacts, but too much $$ for me

Ahh. Gotcha. Yeah that would make it more complicated.
