To most sellers, 'perfector mint condition' is in usable but worn condition, and 'good' is everything else. |

They must use the vinyl LP grading system:
Good (G) While the term “good” might seem positive, a record carrying a G grade may still be of poor quality. |

Same thought…they’re an experienced bike seller, but they do accept returns. Who knows, as no way in hell would I classify the condition of that frame as “good”, but the market speaks for itself as the current bidding is at $1,325.

I bought a bike...
off the forum, was supposed to be good condition. The BB shell was not round but the packaging was fine.
I returend to sender and he was nice enough. I did not even try to screw a BB in it. Only time I have ever sent something back. Maybe 5 years later, I buy the same model of bike, different color, in excellent shape from the forum, Hampsten Strada Biancha, the nicest bike I have. |

That is far from "good" condition. That DS chainstay might even have to be replaced and it needs repaint badly.
That said, RS frames cross or road doesn't matter are pretty slim pickens in that small of a size. So I'm guessing he'll easily get some money out of it. Already at $1325 with three days to go. |

I wouldn't touch that poor thing. Ebay descriptions on bike parts seem particularly awful. "New" == used, VGC == you can still tell what it used to be, sorta, etc

Interestingly, the original bidding ended with a winning bid over $1,800...
....but now it''s been relisted, with the same wording by Piermont. Very strange.

A friend has an early late 70's Sachs, it is a respray without full decals. 52cm. In real nice shape, been in storage now for 25+ years. Full bike she years back thought she could get 2,500 for. Mix of touring parts.

right? makes you wonder as I believe ebay gives you the option of selling to the second highest bidder if the initial one drops out..
