update: I just finished installing my thm cranks with 48/34 non-axs rings and an 11-34 hg cassette (12 sp) from aliexpress. kmc 12 speed chain and the shifting is perfect in the stand. Unfortunately, it's raining so I won't get a chance to test it out on the road until (probably) Saturday. fingers crossed.

I'm running absolute black 2x 48/32 rings with AXS. Not the greatest, and there's some mis-shifts, but I think it's because they're oval not round. If they were round, I think everything would be fine. I've learned to adapt and time the shifting based on the pedal stroke.

Stone non axs 110 x 5 48 tooth with a praxis buzz (11 sp) 34. the stone rings were a 48/33 set, but the 33 won't work with my spider.

Of course you learn a lot when you take the bike off the stand. The weather has not cooperated for a real ride, but testing on my driveway and cul de sac let's just say it ain't perfect.

The rear shifting if fine, if a bit slower, the front is a different animal. I had to adjust the FD limit to keep the chain from overthrowing to the outside - that wasn't too bad.

The main issue is going from the large to small ring - with the rear in the 5 innermost cogs, the shift is spot on. After that, the chain has a tendency to land in between the chainrings. This could be due to a few things:

1. First issue I had was the stone chainrings I ordered came as 48/33 or 46/32. Neither 33 nor 32 will work with my crankset - the tabs get in the way and I'm not about to grind down a claviclua se.
I tried the 48 with a praxis buzz (11sp) 34 and it worked but the chain being caught in the middle was more prevalent. I switched to 50/34 praxis buzz and that's better for now.
I did order a 50/34 stone set so I can try it with their rings and see if it's better, as I'd like to run 48/34 - it's closer to the (stupid) 13 tooth gap recommended by sram. Given the shifting improved when I went to the same brand ring, it could have something to do with spacing as it improved when I switched to the buzz set, even w/ the 16 tooth gap.
For now it's fine - the way I ride I don't switch from the large to smaller ring outside of what works perfectly (at least for now).

I have to weigh the red crankset, but I believe switching cranks (with my thm) is saving about 220-250g and the difference in cog ratio makes it more efficient for me.

I'll report back when I have more info.

Unless something big changes, I've got this figured out. I rode a little over 56 miles today w/ some nice climbing and the rear shifting is spot on, if not a bit slower than the axs setup.
Cassette is 11-12-13-14-15-17-19-21-23-26-30-34.

Currently running praxis buzz 11 speed rings, kmc 12 speed chain.

Front shifting is fine for small to large ring - going from large to small it's perfect from 19 through 34. Below 19 and it drops in between the rings - that could be solved by going to the praxis 12 speed, the inside of the chainring looks as if it could work better. First I'm going to try the stone rings when my 34 arrives.

I could run 48 or 50 for the large ring at this point - I had zero issues and felt SO much better with the (cheap) cassette I have now compared to axs' 21-24-28 jump which kills me.

Your results may vary! I would switch over to all shimano other than I don't want to run wires all over my bike and have a junction box under the stem.

A simple solution for a 50/11 top gear would be a Shimano 50/34 crank. A Shimano GRX 48/31 would work for lower gearing.

I've recently switched my GRX 46/30 11speed cranks to the new 12 speed model on my otherwise all SRAM AXS drivetrains. Never had chain drops or FD setup problems. I always use the AXS chain.

The 21-24-28 has never bothered me. The 10-28,10-33, 10-36 and the 10-44 all have it. It's not a common thing complained about.

It might not be common, but it's an issue for me, and (more than) a few others I've been in contact with. YRMV.

My Stone 50/34 rings showed up today and I switched out the 11sp praxis rings - happy to report I now have ZERO issues shifting. I can shift from small to large ring or large to small from any cog with zero issue. No drops, no getting stuck between the rings, just nice smooth shifting.

I'll take it.
