Silca Gravelero (Gravelero!)
Silca, as always, impresses. I knew I wanted this pump for a ride tomorrow. They were out of stock but expected that they'd become available just in time. They did, and then they shipped it to me immediately, saving my day.
I had read some small online criticism of this model in that the smaller cap (compared to the Tattico) could allow dirt in. I asked if this was a big deal or not, and they replied that they had already redesigned the pump with the full cap. Bravo. As most of you know, dealing with Silca is a top notch experience, and I have yet to be disappointed in any of their products. - - - Bonus: Every time I say or think of this pump, I imagine it in this voice, and I hope you now will too: Simpsons - Canyonero Thank you to the fine folks at Silca. How would you rate the function?

I’d like to compare it to my one up pump.

If you've used both - how does it compare to the Tattico functionally? Do the increased volume claims hold up?

Interesting times we are in. It has a max pressure of 80, and even on my skinny tire road bikes, I never need to exceed that, so it surprises me that modern hand pumps would even bother to have "road" models that go to >100 psi anymore.

How does the chuck work? It's not threaded?
If they have a good non-threaded chuck design I could see ordering 2 of these and a Tattico. I have 2x Bontragers that have threaded and 1x Lezyne that is threaded and I kind of hate them all due to their chuck design. |

The one up is high volume and well made. It just presses on valves to use. No threaded nonsense. It also is hollow inside so you can store stuff or tools and more if you use their kit. I use it on my mtb and gravel bike, and use the shorter 70cc version and find it sufficient. It works a lot better than previous pumps I’ve used for high volume.
