Sram 11 speed Chainring with otherwise AXS 12 speed drivetrain

Hey guys
do you know (or have experience) if I can use Sram Rival crankset (from 1x11 gen) with Sram AXS 12sp drivetrain? Any issues with 12 speed flattop chain on that crankset/ring?
thank you

No

But Wolftooth and Garbaruk now make chainrings that work with flat top chains

However it's probably just cheaper and easier to find a direct mount Rival AXS crankset and chainring for $100 here or on pinkbike to complete the group.

Anecdotally, I have run 1x11 X-Sync rings (force level) with a flat top chain/axs 1x12 drivetrain with acceptable results for a short period of time, as has a buddy of mine. Meshed well with no observable chainsuck. Other 1x 11s rings that I had in my parts bin (rotor, older Wolftooth) would not mesh with the flat top chain but the sram ring did. YMMV

Shimano GRX-610 and 810 both work with AXS drive train and have appropriately sized chain rings.
