Thanks for all the responses, this is quite helpful. I don't anticipate using this bike for anything too rowdy, so I'll probably stick with what I know.

I’ve been running the same size Specialized Power road saddle on my drop bar bikes, and the Phenom on flat bar bikes. Unless you’re getting extra rad on a gravel bike, the road saddle is probably preferable for the better seated pedaling platform (at least in my experience).

If you have a handlebar moustache get a ride specific gravel saddle.

Not a Fizik Antares Evo Adaptive apparently.
I broke two over the last two weeks (search the forum). Fizik issued refunds and cautioned me that the Antares Adaptive Evo Saddles are not suitable for use on gravel bikes, or at least on gravel bikes on colder weather:
“let me kindly remind you that we think that the Antares 00 or R1 Adaptive shall not be the right saddle model for you, unluckily. We think that - especially for a gravel use - an Argo Adaptive R1 might be the ideal solution.” I am not a fan of short-nosed saddles so the Argos is a non-starter. But I don’t think I’d use any Fizik adaptive saddle on my gravel bike again. I’m not sure. For that matter, whether I’d want one on my road bike either. |

Had you ridden a B17 prior to the Cambiums? Interested in moving toward a C17 cutout but unsure if my sitz will fitz.

My gravel and ATB both have Shimano Pro Stealth MTB versions on them. I'm more upright on those bikes and the saddles have more padding so I don't feel every bump or rock. Additionally, the nose is more padded which allows me to pull out onto the nose when there's not much traction and I need to keep the front wheel from "hunting".

Mmm-hmm, same saddle for road and mtb, too.
