Serotta Seatpost Binder Bolt??

Hi All,
I dug these out of one of the Serotta factory parts bins (purchased from the new owner prior to re-purposing as a brewery) and I'm pretty sure that they are seatpost binder bolts missing their nuts. Or were they made to thread into the frame? Pics attached, measurements are in inches. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Maybe they bought a lot extra of the male parts since that style of bolt breaks a lot.

That's a standard, off-the-shelf 5/16" x 3/8" shoulder bolt. Since the thread looks a little smaller, I would guess it's a 1/4-20 thread. Nothing custom, or Serotta specific about it.

I'm not sure what your actually question is...

It very well could be the bolt that was used in the original DKS design - it bolted the seat stay to the dropout.

Would a production Hors use that bolt? I can pull one and check if you think so.

Yes - the early Hors bikes used a bolt like that. It was a commonly available piece of hardware that was proven and cheap so I chose it for the task.
