Mechanical Q: anyone running a CX70 with Campy?
I have an 2015 Athena 11 Ergopower shifter, should I be able to run a Shimano CX70 top-pull front derailleur without too many problems?
My other option is to go with my Athena FD with a Problem Solvers pulley, but that doesn't seem too elegant. Thanks as always! Last edited by slowpoke; 10-03-2016 at 03:23 AM. Reason: forgot to mention CX70 front mech :O |

cx70 crankset? brake calipers??? fd?? Sorry for asking but no idea which component are you talking about.
If FD and the athena is ratchet style I do not see the problem. If we are talking about RD... no idea. |

Doubt it but ya never know. I've put a 10s Campag front der onto a 6500 STI system and it worked fine..Athena LH ERGO way positional ala shimano but try it and report back.

you can also use one of these :
http://cycledepot.blogspot.com/2014/...ll-device.html I happen to have a campy one if you are interested, don't have any use for it so will sell it cheap. People have great things to say about it, it just did not work on my setup (friction and a tripple FD) but tons of people running it with no problems at all. Its the best option for campy I would say, that said I love the CX70 derailleur. I am running friction and it shifts excellently. |

I ran the cx70 FD for several seasons with mostly Campy Athena throughout. It worked but not great and I could never achieve any sort of trim settings which was most annoying in the big ring.
Look up the Speen cable inverter from Germany. I have heard from several Campy only friends that it works flawlessly. Also inexpensive however it was reported to take quite a long time to ship. |

@Lovetoclimb
All google searches for speen cable inverter in Germany failed to find any mention. Is Speen the company name? Thanks! |

^ Speen is the company, and you're looking for the Umlenker. And R3awak3n up above is selling one.

Being the German on the forum, I am happy to help anyone who needs to get one of these. |
