Parlee Z5i and wheelset fitting

2012 Z5 with Zipp Firecrests here (tubular). Vittoria CX 23s are my go to. 25's are so close to the chainstays that the slightest deviation from dry, perfect roads results in grit grinding the frame. The only flaw (other than BB30 which I am philosophically opposed to but has been OK) in an otherwise perfect bike. FWIW, the ride is very smooth, so you won't miss the 25's and the minuscule performance you give up in rolling resistance is made up by a minuscule gain in aero. We all did just fine on 23s for decades.

I have a 2015 z5i. 303 firecrest and both Vitoria and conti 25s both fine for thousands of miles in rear.

Yeah, I did mail them, but didn't get any useful help—hence I asked here. But I think I'll just get the wheelset and then grab an older 25mm tire (since it'll stretch a bit) and then mount and see what happens on a ride around the block. But yes 23mm are fine too, but if I could fit 25mm I woul, since I had good experiences with it on my old CAAD9.

I had a little rub on the chain stays on the rear with 25mm conti gp 2s.. Very minor but paint rub for sure .., so back to 23s


Yes I use enves 3.4 and 6.7

i stuck an a23 with 25c gp4k (measures larger than 25mm wide) in the rear of a '12 z5sli, just BARELY clears the stays, gonna try some 25's on a narrower rim and see what happens, or maybe just 23's on a 23mm rim.

I can use sworks 24c on da9000 c24s with no issues .. But since the op wants Enves my data is apples to apples.. They fit but they will rub from time to time with 25c gp4000ii
